AS 1432 : 2000 (Copper tubing for plumbing, gasfitting and drainage applications).
This standard provides for round seamless copper tubes intended for use in pressure and non-pressure plumbing, gasfitting and drainage applications.
Crane Copper manufacturers this product in hard drawn, bending quality, annealed, and plastic lagged coils and straight lengths.
Inert plastic lagging is available for this product coloured in green for potable drinking water and lilac for recycled water applications.
These tubes are supplied in both hard drawn straight lengths and annealed coils, after meticulous cleaning, dehydrating and capping, to ensure that the internal cleanliness standards are fully met. The intended use for this product is in airconditioning and refrigeration applications.
This Standard specifies seamless copper and copper alloy tubes for general purposes. It does not apply for heat exchangers or tubes for airconditioning.
NZS 3501 : 1976 (Copper Tubes for water, gas and sanitation)
This copper tube is manufactured in straight lengths, in half hard condition and in fully annealed coils.
BS EN 1057
BS EN 1057 has replaced the British Standard BS 2871 Part 1 and other conflicting standards previously used. This standardization with EN 1057 has provided a common standard for many markets. However, as there are no dimensional changes, all EN 1057 tube is totally compatible with current BS tube and fittings.
Crane Copper manufacture this product in both bare tube and white coloured Polyethylene lagging for export orders.
ASTM B88 : 99 (Copper Water and Gas Tube)
This specification covers hard drawn temper, seamless copper tubes which are suitable for use in general plumbing applications, such as underground water service, potable water distribution, gas distribution and fire sprinkler installations.
To assist with selection this standard is separated into three Types - K, L and M. Each type is differentiated by a range of wall thicknesses, with Type K having thicker walls than Type L, and Type L being thicker than Type M, for any given diameter.
These tubes are supplied in both hard drawn straight lengths and annealed coils, after meticulous cleaning, dehydrating and capping to ensure that the internal cleanliness standards are fully met.
The intended use is in the installation, repair, or alteration of airconditioning and refrigeration units.
